I survived!
The heat (115+) did not get me, nor did meeting 200+ folks for the first time. I even survived being hit on a few times, which is definitely good work if you can find it.
Most surprising of all, though, is that Theo and I survived six (6) days of togetherness and long drives, which isn’t always obvious or easy when you’ve built a relationship out of stolen moments and Skype.
All together, there were performances, an event, meetings, lots of carrying stuff and even a trip to Disneyland.
I learned to drive the tour van and managed not to break it (too much.)
There were lots of opportunities for romantic moments, and one really, really, REALLY hard night that managed to save itself in the surprise overtime.
The sum total of it all is that my brain is full, I feel beautiful, relieved and loved, and Theo and I are much closer than we were when we left.
Problem is, I’m crashing today, so I’ll have to write about it another time. Right now it’s time for laundry and some tea, Family Guy and Law & Order, and keeping my feet on the ground so that my head doesn’t float off or sink down.
